"The Theon is just a little more raw than the Singer, less constricting than the Gunterwerks, less overwhelmingly powerful than the RUF — but felt perhaps the best balanced of all those."
Robb Report
Deddington, Oxfordshire · Est. 2016
The most obsessively engineered air-cooled Porsche 911 in the world. Each build takes 18–24 months and over 6,000 hours. Six to eight are made each year. Every one is completely different.
Adam Hawley and Lucinda Argy founded Theon Design in 2016 — named after their son, Theo. Adam had spent years designing cars for some of the world's most prestigious automotive brands. When he couldn't find a 911 built to the standard he expected, he built one himself. That car became the blueprint for everything that followed.
Operating from a converted workshop in the Oxfordshire countryside, Theon works exclusively on the Porsche 964 — the generation of the 911 built between 1989 and 1994. Every component is digitised and 3D modelled to tolerances tighter than the original factory specification. Carbon fibre body options, bespoke engine builds, and 300-hour paint programmes are standard territory. No two builds are alike.
Theon describes their approach as OEM+ — the robustness and precision of an original manufacturer, combined with the craftsmanship that only comes from a small, deeply committed team of experts.
Engineered to obsessive tolerances
Every component is digitised and 3D modelled. Custom wiring looms are 24kg lighter than factory. The chassis is seam-welded for rigidity. Nothing is off the shelf — and nothing is done to a standard Theon considers acceptable rather than exceptional.
Completely bespoke, every time
Engine displacement, gearbox specification, body configuration, interior materials — every decision is the owner's. The process begins with an in-depth brief and ends with a car that exists nowhere else on earth.
Air-cooled performance, modern capability
Up to 421bhp from a naturally aspirated flat-six. Optional carbon body panels bring weight to 1,150kg — a better power-to-weight ratio than a current GT3 RS, without a single turbo in sight.
Globally sought, rarely available
Clients in North America, Europe, South America and Asia. Build slots typically fill before they're announced publicly. Lead times currently run to two years or more. Demand has consistently outpaced supply since the company's founding.
